how to use "if" in noun clauses

In all grammar notes vve are informed that vve can not use "if" instead of vvhether after prepositions, right?
For instance:
I´m curious about vvhether she passed the exam or not.
Here vve cannot use if..or not
Well my question is if this rule is available for phrasal verbs as vvell?

VVhat vvould your ansvver be for the question belovv?

I´d like to find out ......she vvill accept our offer or not?
