How to use holic

Dear all

Can you tell me how to use '~holic' ?

Is it only noun that can add holic?

There's only two common uses of -holic and that's alcoholic - someone addicted to alcohol workaholic - someone who spends so much time at their work that they neglect other important areas of their life like their health or family The only other one I can even think of is the slang 'chocoholic' which just means someone who really, really likes chocolate.

How do I know when I must use noun+holic or noun+aholic?

For the above examples;

1.work+aholic

2.shop+aholic

3.chocolate can use both choc+aholi
