How to use find oneself?

Could you check this sentence? Is this correct and does it flow well?

I sometimes find myself wishing I could go to some faraway place, leaving all the annoying routines and customs of everyday life.

The usual order is 'leave something behind,' but this time, since the object is too long, I should put 'behind' right after 'leaving."

Yes, that is usual.

It is not impossible to put "behind" at the end in your sentence, but, as you say, the longer and more complicated the object, the more the tendency to move "behind" before it. You canno
