How to use both... and

Dear Sirs,
I would like to know how to use both...and
There is a sentence which has 3 ways to write and I don't know which one is correct
1.Both Tom and Jane 's applycation is strong.
2.Both Tom and Jane's applycation are strong.
3.Both Tom's applycation and Jane's applycation are strong.
