Recently I learnt a new construction which we could use with "be" as in the sample sentence. However, I couldn't find any samples that don't use adjective after "be it" phrase. By using that construction, in the following sentence, what I wanted to express was that everyone in a free society is entitled to express their feelings through verbally or social media.
In a free society everyone should have the freedom to express their feelings be it through verbally or social media.
Sample sentence:-
Because all storytelling, be it fiction or nonfiction writing, is always caught up in the problem of perspective, the point-of-view of the writer, it is important to clarify exactly how this positioning makes itself known in a piece of writing.
