I would rephrase:
As do individuals/As does an individual, a country should find its own way without interference.

Interference indicates involvement of others, so "other countries" is not necessary.

The operator has to match, the same as in tag questions.

A country should ..., shouldn't it?
A country should ..., as should ...

The employees have become tired of the ad campaign, as has their boss.
I would jump at the chance to win a million dollars, as would anyone in my place.

Introduce the operator do when necessary.

Parents ..., don't they?
Parents ..., as do ...

The children ran, as did the adults.
