How to use "allow" with multiple actions

Hi,

I'm trying to write a sentence where I want to say that something allows to do two actions. For example:

"...it allows to control how the page layout is generated and specify what words must be underlined "

Do you think is clear for readers that the subject of the sentence allows to do two different actions (at the same time)?

Thank you.

it allows you to control how the page layout is generated and specify what words must be underlined "Do you think is clear for readers that the subject of the sentence allows to do two different actions (at the same time)? Yes, but 'allow' must be followed by an object. I would add 'to' before 'specify' to make make the sentence a little clearer.

Yes, but 'allow' must be followed by an object. I would add 'to' before 'specify' to make make the sentence a lit
