How to translate 16.8 hours?

Hi! I'm from Poland and I need to know what does it mean to give someone 16.8 hours a week. When I saw 2.4 hours I thought it was 2 hours and 40 minutes but with 16.8 hours it makes no sense. Please, help me. It's really important for my work.

0.1 of an hour is 6 minutes, so

2.4 hours is 2 hours and 24 minutes

16.8 hours is 16 hours and 48 minutes
