How to teach the present simple?

Hi, I´ve to teach the present simple in the first person singular, and I don't know which is the best context, I thought about presenting the topic talking about my daily routine but it is rather boring for my secundary students, I don't know how can I do to engage them presenting the present simple?
Thanks!

You can ask them express freely about the characteristics of their family members. when you restrict to first person usage it does not give much scope for a free flow.
