How to study synonyms?

These days I've felt that I need to practice synonyms on the words I've often used. Because,

1. Since I've all the time said only "I think", " I think", I couldn't feel fun at speaking or writing English.
2. Since I use the same words, I think that my vocabulary couldn't be developed.

When high school life, they had taught me that I should avoid the same expression in my tread. But in my mother tongue, I am allowed to use the same words as much as I want even within 1 thread.

Now I want to ask you for it. Is it really that much important to use as many synonyms as possible in English? I mean, avoiding the same expression? Could you make me feel how important they are in speaking and writing English?

Thank you in advance for your teaching.

That is very useful question. I have my idea and experience in English but a native speaker will be more helpful. I wish someone come and help us.

That is the answer to your worry.

Not very, unless you are writing quite a long, formal essay. I say 'think' all the time, too.

You can expedite that process by not responding to a question unless you have the answer, alend. Threads that have already received a response are often passed over by native contributors.

Okay! I see! Since you also said that you all the time say "think", I make a direction on practicing English like this.
When I meet someone important on my business, I will use the expression I'm confident, which means I have so often used. For the other cases, I will make efforts to avoid same expressions. I think that this is the best way for me. Thank you for your answer, Mr.Micawber.
