How to start a sentence?

I studied a lot of tenses. But one question is still left.

I've never seen a guide how to proper start a sentence. Which ways are gramaticall correct and which aren't?

The only rule is that you must start a sentence with a capital letter. This means that you must avoid starting a sentence with the word 'iPod'.
