How to spell out "2600 B.C."

Hi, great teachers!

Could you help me how to spell out the year "2600 B.C."?

My guess is "twenty-six hundred b.c."

Is this correct?

I'm wondering if I need a hyphen between "twenty" and "six".

Thank you.

Two thousand six hundred years before Christ. However, most style and usage guides caution authors not to write out numbers greater than ten.
