How to say...

Hi, please correct grammar:

"If you don't mind, would you send us cheque or make the bank transfer for the balance differences?"

- the story is: due to oversight, the customer paid us less of the actual total amount on the invoice, so there is a differences. Can I describe this as "balance differences"? Or just say "the balance" ? Or there is a better word to say this situation? Pls advice. Thank you!
