How to respond to "we must talk"
Scene: Returned from holiday, a colleague met me in the corrider after a conference. Then I was with another group of people, and I was very busy, and was heading for my office. We have some unfinished thing to be continued with before the holiday.
I said: Hello **,
She said ”hello **, we must talk."
I answered “ok",
and still walked very fast and passed her.
I think I behaved very rudely, but I don't know what I was supposed to answer?

There were two things that could have been seen as rude. 1) You were pretty short in your response. Okay.

There were two things that could have been seen as rude.
1) You were pretty short in your response.
Okay. I've got something I'm working on right now, but tomorrow is wide open.
Okay, I'm super busy right now, but give me half an hour.
You should have said something like that to show that you understood her need.
