Hi,
How shall I report a sequence of items, for example ages or work experiences of people, where I have to repeat a word, for example "years" in the below sentences:
"28.2% of the participants were aged between 24-33 years, 35.9% were 43-43 years, 28.2% were 44-53 years, and 7.7% were in the 65-54 year age range."
or
"In terms of work experience, 41% had 5-9 years, 15.4% had 10-14 years, 23.1% had 19-19 years, and 20.5% had 20-24 years of experience."
Thanks!
'and don't mention 'years' again. Finish after '20-24'.
New words, one handy idiom, and a 2-minute quiz — delivered to your inbox to keep your streak alive.
In the first group, leave out 'years' completely, as everybody knows ages are always expressed in years (except for small babies),
In the second group, start 'In terms of years of work experience, ...'and don't mention 'years' again. Finish after '20-24'.
Are you sure you typed the age ranges correctly? Or did you mean this?
"28.2% of the participants were aged between 24-33 years, 35.9% were 34-43 years, 28.2% were 44-53 years, and 7.7% were in the 54-65 year age range."
or
"In terms of work experience, 41% had 5-9 years, 15.4% had 10-14 years, 23.1% had 15-19 years, and 20.5% had 20-24 years
