How to reply to "May I come in?"

Question: "May I come in?" "______"
A. Yes, no problem
B. Feel free
C. You're welcome
D. Sorry, let's wait
I choose A, but the correct answer is D. Could you tell me if I'm wrong?

Top answer

I too would have picked A . D does not sound like a response you would expect to hear. Sorry, you'll have to wait , or Sorry, not right now , would be more likely.

I've just looked it up on the Internet and found some documents that say "Feel free" is the correct answer. Please give me some explanation.
