Essay & Composition Writing

How to reference a foreign word in my paper.

Hi all! (I think this is where this goes!)

I'm doing a term paper on Nietzschean and Aristotelian concepts of nature.

The paper is more specifically centered around the Greek word 'physis' which both use for differetn reasons. My question is: how do I write this word in my paper. Up until now I've been writing it in lowercase italics: physis.

Is it more proper to just put it in quotes? If so, double or single quotation marks?

Paper is MLA style by the way.

Thanks a lot!

Yes, lower case italics, all the way through.

Hi,
I have a similar question regarding the appropriate way to include foreign words in a text (APA format). Is it the same as MLA?
