Hi CJ, in #3 should there be a hyphen between "meter" and "long"?

Actually, that comes up so seldom, I have to say that I don't know. It could be. Is that what the style manuals recommend?

I would hyphenate like this:

This is a meter-long ruler.
This is a one-meter-long ruler.
