How to properly use the verb 'Hinder'

Hello, I do love the verb 'hinder', yet I am finding it difficult to construct sentences using said verb. I'm not sure what must go next. To work with, I've "brought" an example, so you might help me!

The most important part when facing a problem is to devise logically how to solve it. The tools or means, computationally talking, should not hinder the solution to be carried out.

Is this sentence correct? Thank you very much for any help you can provide.

Tomás D. Reyes Sánchez.
