how to properly pronounce "is there.." and "is that..."?

hello, does anyone know the proper way of pronouncing "is there..." and "is that.."? i tend to pronounce them as "is zere.." and "is zat.." when im speaking fast, respectively. if i wanted to pronounce them exactly as they are, its rather slow and awkward for me. or is my pronunciation also acceptable in the american language? any help would be appreciated.

Those z 's are borderline acceptable in informal American English, so speak fast and use the z 's and maybe no one will notice! The proper way is, of course, to include the TH sound: izz th ere / izz th at. CJ

Try using a little more "d" sound as in: is dare and is dat
The "d" sound will be more natural than zere and zat. Dats da way I do it. Sounds very normal and easy to say.
