How to Pronunciate this Proper Name??

How would you SAY this:

"We are going to the Gates' house?"

Would it be "Gates" or "Gates-es"??

I know when spelling it there is only one "s" and an apostrophe, but I belong to a group that is discussing the proper way to actually say it in a conversation.

Thanks! Emotion: smile

" Would it be "Gates" or "Gates-es"?? It could be either. I would write the Gateses' house but I'm alone there, I think.

Mr. Gate and Mrs. Gate are the Gates. Their house is the Gates' house. It's pronounced the same as the plural common noun gates.

Mr. Gates and Mrs. Gates are the Gateses. Their house is the Gateses' house. It's pronounced 'gates-iz'.

By the way, it's "How to pronouncethis name?" -- not "How to pronunciate this name?"
