How to pronounce " will be allowed to join"?

Should the "d" be pronounced? If it should, the sentence will not be smooth, which will be strange somehow.

The 'd' in "allowed to" is pronounced, but it's not released. To your ear, that may sound as if the 'd' were not pronounced at all, but you have to move your tongue into the correct position for 'd' and at least begin to make the 'd' before the '

How about "used to", which is similar to "allowed to"?

For instance, "used to" > uzd to > usta
