Please someone tell me how can I pronounce "there" correctly. I mean, I heard that there might have some situations that we have to pronounce last /r/ sound while in other occasions it is silent, depending on the starting syllable of the next word. Despite the a number of google search, I couldn't find the answer for this. So, please let me know how can we pronounce that word correctly.
Firstly, it depends on the speaker's accent. g. typical Scottish accent), the final "r" is pronounced.

Firstly, it depends on the speaker's accent. In so-called "rhotic" accents (e.g. typical Scottish accent), the final "r" is pronounced. In non-rhotic accents (such as mine, from southern England), the final "r" is normally not pronounced, but it does appear when a word starting with a vowel follows, e.g. in "there are ...".
