How to pronounce 's in John's Story?

Hi all,
I am not quite sure how to pronounce 'John's story'. Is this /Johnz story/ or /John story/? When I hear it sounds like John story but when I look at it, it should be Johnz story. Is it not right?
Thank you for your help in advance.
Have a good day.
Regards,
Alli

Johnz is the correct pronunciation of John's. "John's story" is difficult to pronounce, I admit. Especially when most people speak rather fast!

The final /z/ of 'John's' and the initial /s/ of 'story' liaise very closely and it sounds like /dja:nztouri/.
