How to pronounce none?

A native told me that I ususally pronounce none as nung ('n' becomes 'ng' at the end), How to pronounce none?

In more than 68 years, I've never heard none pronounced as if it had a g at the end. The two n s should sound the same, as in the religious sister nun .

Chinese have a tendency (a) to nasalize vowels before nasals, then delete that nasal. In some cases, (b) they nasalize thevowel, delete the nasal, then add 'ng'.

In this audio, 'none' goes through the process (b). The other word 'down' in your recording goes through the process (a). Even my Chinese colleague does it whene

If you're getting an NG at the end, then you're "closing off your throat" by drawing your tongue back into your throat and away from your front teeth. Both Ns in "none" are pronounced with the front of your tongue touching just above your front teeth. If you break contact on the final N, you'll get an NG instead. Just return y
