How do I pronounce "crossed the". I can pronounced "cross the" perfectly fine, but not "crossed the"

The difference is barely audible, so in a pinch you can use your pronunciation of "cross the" for "crossed the". It's just that "crossed the" has a little interruption of sound (a tiny silence you might say) where the unreleased T ( ed ) occurs. This interruption is made by raising the tongue very briefly to the position for pronouncing T without actually producing much of a T at all.
