Since it is derived from 'chaos', I would think it is pronounced /'k?ia saif?r/.

Hi,

Chaocipher is the brainchild of John F. Byrne (1880 - 1960). I have it on the authority of his daughter-in-law, Patricia Byrne, that the pronunciation is: KAY-OH-CIPHER.

Thank you for your reply dear Moshe Rubin.

But I didn't get it. Can you please write it using common symbols like Mister Micawber has?

Thank you.

I believe you have the correct phonetic symbols, but can you point me to sites that describe the exact sounds of the symbols so I can verify that? In addition, I cannot find anywhere on this site how to enter phonetic symbols in my posting, should I want to give my own phonetic version. I'd appreciate any guidance you can give me here.

Thanks!
