Not true. It's an incorrect pronunciation of the word!

/skt/ is a very difficult combination to pronounce. Although a native most likely can pronounce all of it as an isolated word, I believe that most descriptive linguists agree that part of the sound disappears in normal speech. How the entire sound comes out is considered to be standard in some cultures, dialectical in others.
