How to keep up with newly learned words?

0 Hello friends, 02br
02br
00I know this one is an oft-repeated question - How to keep up with the newly learned words? 02br
02br
00I learn some new words from newspaper and I will learn their meaning from the dictionary. 02br
00But I find it very difficult to get-back the meaning when encountered, say after a week. ie I tend to forget the meanings. What can I do, so that I'm able to keep them live in my memory? 0-

00Meanwhile reading Novels is one of the best way to improve one's vocabulary. But do we need to refer to the dictionary each and every time we face with new words? A novel might have lots of new words in each para and ofcourse in each line. If we keep on refering to the dictionary, our interest in reading the novel will get affected. 02br

00Is it feasible to write down idioms whenever we see them and try to use them? 02br

00Thanks for your information. 0-

0 Well, at least you can keep track of them. 02br
00And if you read books by the same author, you're bound to see tha same idioms etc used "many" times, so you'll get the idea of their mood, and of when & where to use them. 0-

0 Hi bvpraveen, 02br
00Instead of you looking into the meaning if each and every word which is strange to you everytime, try to look into the meaning after you encounter the same word twice or thrice.Tat will help you more to get reminded of those words and their meanings too,It will b difficult for the first few times later on it will b of great help to u. 0-

00If you start reading novels, you can sort them according to the subject too: medical, psychological, courtroom drama etc... Every author has their own vocabulary, you'll see. 010id1
