How to interpret "Today"...

Hello everyone,

Would you check if my understanding of the two sentences below is correct or not?

Thanks~

pb

----------------

1. Today Sue said she would wash her car.

(Sue said today that she would wash her car.)

2. Sue said she would wash her car today.

(Sue said that she would was her car today, not tomorrow or any other day.)

Is it possible that Sentence 2(or 1) has different meaning?
