How to improve Technical translation skill?

Hi all,
firstly, i want to say "HAPPY NEW YEAR".
I want to ask: i am translating Technical document from English to Japanese. But it is hard to translate some word. Can you give me some advices?

You must learn the English phrases that most naturally and accurately reflect the meaning of the L1 language, irrespective of how they may seem to deviate from a direct translation.
