How to express this idea correctly?

Hello, what would be the best way of expressing this idea?:

"It would take a lot of time for me to go there."
"It would take me a lot of time to go there."

The first sentence is what I naturally tend to come up with in conversations, but lately I have been having doubts about if it's fully correct. Are both correct? Which one sounds more natural to a native speaker? Thank you for your help.

Thank you. About those sentences I wrote as an example, is their construction incorrect or just uncommon?

"a lot of time" is not actually wrong, but "a long time" is more common and natural in this situation.

"go there" is unclear here. It does not clearly refer to journey time (which I am assuming is what you mean). It sounds like an uncertain blend of journey time and time until a decision to go is made or an opportunity to go arises.

Yes I meant travelling time, I didn't know such difference in meaning existed between "to go to a place" and "to get to a place", thank you for pointing it out and for taking the time to answer.
