Hi Himadri, I haven't touched this bottle of water since last night or Since last night, I haven't touched this bottle of water . I can't see a simple way how to use touch and drink in the same sentence. Of course you can say something like 'I have never drunk from this bottle.

  • Hi Himadri, I haven't touched this bottle of water since last night or Since last night, I haven't touched this bottle of water .
  • I can't see a simple way how to use touch and drink in the same sentence.
  • Of course you can say something like 'I have never drunk from this bottle.
  • Nor have I even touched it,' but that would be too long a way round, wouldn't it?

Hi Himadri,

I haven't touched this bottle of water since last night or Since last night, I haven't touched this bottle of water.

I can't see a simple way how to use touch and drink in the same sentence

Schetin, sorry, but where did you find the "touch" thing? Emotion: tongue tied

Nowhere in the original sentence. Do you think it had to do with finishing bottles? I wouldn't... Some people don't always know how to word their thoughts.

Anyway, this was my guess. What is yours?

<Since last night I haven't finished or drink or drank this bottel of water yet">

Well, it's not correct. It should be "drunk", and "bottle" (typo, I guess)

But besides these, it's obvious that if one doesn't have a sip, one can't finish the bottle. So yes, your "I haven't touched the bottle since last night" sums it all quite nicely

or

I haven't finished the bottle of water from last night.
