How to email a graduate school admission office or professor for help

hi

I'm now a chinese sophomore student and am looking forward to going to USA for masters' education.
But I'm not so clear about the specific information of me that will be needed when applying. So I want to email someone for help.

How should I write such a letter? Say, how do people usually start this inquiry?

thanks.

The official way is to contact the Graduate School directly. They often have forms/info for you to download. If you are planning a research, the best is to seek like-minded professors in the field you are interested and email them your queries.

  • Do your homework first.
  • That will smooth out the application process when you finally contact the GS.
