How to decrease and prevent destruction coming from locusts migration

During industrial development era, farmers on over the world have suffered from a insects’ combat usually called locusts migration. After these invasions, corns, vegetables and many other types of crops are heavily destroyed. The more damaged they cause, the more increasing of financial issue farmers’ families have. In order to protect harvests, I suggest two possible measures which can decline partially the destruction and are also environmentally friendly.

The most uncomplicated technique is using natural predators of locusts to control the populations. Spiders and dragonflies are the most common. However, spiders are not suitable choice because of their poison and dirty silk that could make plants’ care difficult. Furthermore, dragonflies can help pollination occur obviously. Beside these normal insects, many farmers nurture other kinds depending on types of detrimental insects they cope with. Raising these insects in farms during growing process of plants can decrease large amount of locusts. Taking an example, in countrysides, a lot of farmers use ants to get rid of worms and locusts on fruit trees. Moreover, ants can also make ripe fruit taste sweeter.

Another measure is building solar houses not only to defend against harmful insects but also increase photosynthesis ability of plants. Solar houses are equipped with panels to absorb energy from the Sun, which need hermetic space to maintain precise temperature for plants which require extreme conditions to develop. By that way, locusts have small change to get in and, therefore, it is ensured that crops cannot be damaged. For instance, in many developed countries, people no longer grow crops without protection. Applying solar houses helps to improve quality and quantity of vegetables or fruits.

In conclusion, those measures mentioned above are easy for everyone to implement. Although these ways are safe and simple to follow, some farmers still spread pesticide to kill locusts and worms, which significantly influence on lands.
