How to deal with [deserve / face / receive] in Grammar?

Hello,There are some problem with the following.Pleaes help to know the way how to deal with them in Grammar. To the definition of them, though they are a receiver / acceptor but they are given the subject of transitive verb. [deserve] = be worthy of [face] = to be in a position in which one must deal with a problem or unpleasant situation[receive] = to experience / to be the subject of / to undergoThank you for your assistance.
