How to count Diamond ( material noun)

Is there any way to count diamond when it is regarded as a material noun?
We say, a piece of paper, two pieces of paper don't we?

How about diamond? Is there any expression such as " a ( a noun in the singular form ) of diamond, two ( the noun in the plural form) of diamond?
