how to count "a shout"

Hi,

I know "shout" is a countable noun but not sure how English speakers count it. What is the definition of "one shout"?

Thank you,
M

Here is one shout: "Hey!"
Here is another one: 'Hey! Get your big dirty gumboot off the bumper of my Lamborghini!"
