How to change my accent?

Am really struggling with my accent...English people can't really understand some words what am saying...So any body advice me how to change my accent?

Hi,actually if you want to learn an accent you have to speak the language as often as you can.I mean talk to

people that have that accent.If you want to be have an American accent then go to chatting,speak through pc

to Americans.I think that would help.By the way im Nath,a student of a film school here in Asia.

When I was in Secondary 2, my history teacher was an Indian. I couldn't hear clearly what he was talking about during the lesson. His Indian accent was strong. However, about two weeks later, I was able to hear him clearly. So it is a matter of getting used to listening and talking to the people in the country you live in now.

You might need an accent reduction course. Learn the sounds, learn how to connect words, learn to use a decent intonation, etc. It depends on the variety you want to learn though. For American English,

Well, The solution is to listen enough to English ( listening English songs & trying to sing them, watching English videos, movies or emissions ) then you've to speak English like them. think for example that you're English or American, and if you are able to visit English countries, It will be very useful

going to the local library canhelp too. I am trying to get rid of my accent too and I will try the next. Bring from the library a couple of audio books and the same books but in hard of soft copies. Meanwhile you listen you read at the same time, the idea is not just to understand what is in the book but to listen how the words and sentences are pronounce. I have been looking my self a phonetics
