How to avoid repetition in this sentence and did I use a correct preposition?

Dear Users,

Is it possible to avoid using I check and I checked in these sentences? Is it correct to say the delay was at least of two days?

I'll check my bank account today. I checked it yesterday in the evening and the salary wasn't there, which means the delay was at least of 2 days.

Thank you.
