how to ask when someone is sick

hello! it's my first time to ask a question,
when my friend said "I am sick", I worried and wanted to ask her why she is sick,. I mean .. what exactly makes her sick like a cold or headache. but I don't know the expressions.

could you let me know which expression can i use?
