How to ask this question in English?

I was wondering, if I decide to cancel the subscription after a certain amount of time, do I need to pay the period left in the contract?

I give some context: What I'm trying to ask is if I cancel the service that is paid monthly but has a contrac for N number of years, the remained period has to be paid?

Top answer

If I cancel the subscription, am I obliged to pay the remaining payments in the term? Can I cancel the subscription before the contract expires? Generally, this information is in the fine print of the subscription agreement.
