How to ask politely for help from you professor

I'm writing an email to my professor in regards to the scores posting. There's an obvious typo by the professor (20 points descrepency). I explained the mistake thoroughly and at the end of my email said ".......if you could look into it, I would really appreciate it......"

Now is it appropriate to ask her to "look into it"? Would I sound presumptuous? Or is it Ok. If not, how should I word it?

Thanks in advance
