I tried one persons to take a phone call..But he switched off.I need to say " I tried to contact your phone several times but faild"(you switched off) Is that Correct ?

In a scenario where the phone wasn't switched off, but the person wansn't receiving it (deliberately), could we say "I called you several times, but you weren't receiving the/my calls"? Or "I called you several times, but there was no response from you"?
