Or just cheat: Was Mr X the tenth or eleventh president?

Otherwise there is no question word that correlates with ordinal numbers.

I think it should be "whichieth," not "whatieth." Actually, I think the question should be entirely reworded, something like "How many presidents preceded Mr. X?" I don't think thee is a decent way to ask the question so that the answer would be "eleventh."

I French, we use what can be translated as " the how manieth president was X ?". Doesn't it exist in English? Normal English, I mean...
