how to appreciate the "reading"?

Hello!
I would like to ask if I want to express the feeling of appreciation of reading, what is the native way to say so?
To say "_Reading is fun/enjoyable_"? But I looked up the dictionary and found that the word "fun" should be always put before a noun.
Any comments would be highly appreciated!
