How to appreciate a teacher? feel really honest and touching heart

I would like to ask what are the best way to appreciate and say thanks to a teacher.

I put down a paragraph like this below:

"Thanks so much. And I am so grateful that you were our kid's teacher.

Though **** has only joined your classes for a few days, we have heard a lot of awesome words and intriguing stories about you and your lovely family. Whenever he talks about your classes, we can always feel his excitement and inspirations. We are so glad that he could have such a amazing teacher with great positivity and approaches. Looking forward to meeting you in person."

Not sure if this is a proper expression. Please help.
