Hello everyone. I have a question.
How should we write an answer in a formal written examination like the one below? Which is the most appropriate form of the three options? Is there any better way to do so in a case like this?
Question: Give two diffrent reasons from the passage why cats make better pets for people living alone than dogs do. (The marks #1 and #2 are already written on the answer sheet. Here, I'll give the reason #1.)
Answer: (A) They can stand being left alone much longer than dogs can.
(B) Because they can stand being left alone much longer than dogs can.
(C) It is because they can stand being left alone much longer than dogs can.
Answer (A) is the most appropriate. "Because" and "It is because" are not needed.
