How to answer in a written examination

Question: The title of the passage says "Cats understand human emotions." Do you think it is true? Explain your reason why you think so based on this passage.

How should we answer this kind of question in a formal written examination? I came up with three ways of answering it. What do you think about each of them? Besides, is there any better way to answer it? --

(A) Yes, I do. This is because ....

(B) Yes, I think that it is true. This is because ....

(C) I think that it is true. This is because ....

All 3 seem OK. I prefer A or B. If I had more than one reason, I'd consider saying Yes, I do, for the following reasons.
