How to answer a "How do you like..." question?

Hello,

Recently I moved to a foreign country for my studies and sometimes the teacher or my friends ask me "How do you like the weather?" or "How do you like the food here?" and I don't know how I should answer. Is it correct to answer "I like it"?Emotion: smile

is it ok if the answer is "love it"? I heard somebody answer like that in a movie. And I'm a littble bit confused after watching this video

I'm not saying it's the best possible answer. I just thought Clive's answer earlier was a bit misleading. I don't think there's anything incorrect about answering "How do you like X?" with "I like it."

Hi all,
Thanks for your responses. I've answered "I like it" most of the time I've been asked. Now I understand why my teacher and friends always change the subject after asking me those kinds of questions. They just didn't expect me to answer like that

I have been teaching english overseas and everytime i join new college my collegues often starts conversation like this.


Collegue: "How do you like the weather?"
Myself: Liked it very much. Is it the best of the season ?
OR
It's humid! You should come to my home town to see what it feels like to be in that weather.. calm and cool.
